And I did that thing again. Moaning about ebay idiots then it suddenly sells painlessly

But we do have a little hilarity to the whole event. Here we go....
Previous advert expired on Monday, I relisted on Wednesday, today I got a message from someone via the
original advert asking if it sold. I thought "oh jeez, here we go" and sent a very short message that I'd relisted. They replied that they want it, and they'll come down from Loughborough (about 130 miles away) straight away. Any kind of "deal now" is usually attached to a lowball offer so I emphasised the "no offers" and said OK. True to their word they turned up about 4pm, having twice given me updated ETAs. Seemed sensible & serious.
An absolutely lovely chap, a professional musician & NCG, and his equally lovely mate who is a CG and had steered him to the advert. I was mildly concerned that they turned up in a MINI when the deal also included a pair of front seats & a set of wheels but - not my problem eh ?
They looked it over & went for a test drive. CG clearly quite excited and NCG just following his lead. CG & I bonded over MINIs and chatted about head gaskets & timing chains. I showed him pics of the suspension work I did to ours recently. Then the bombshell. Do the back seats fold down ? NCG is a pianist / vocalist and needs to get a full sized keyboard in the boot. Early F10s do not have folding seats
CG has had E60s before and they have folding seats. I think F10s only got folding seats with the LCI. Genuine oversight on their part and I could see a certain amount of stress that CG had brought NCG on a 5 hour road trip that
might have been a huge mistake

They asked for a tape measure and I left them to it

The folding seats are not easily retrofittable.
After a while on their own they came back and said they'll still take it. Bank transfer done. CG managed to get the spare seats (the comfort seats that I'd taken out and was going to sell separately) into the back of his MINI. Impressive ! Spare wheels went in the BMW two in the boot & two on the back seat.
So a small win today, but one of my biggest losses overall, relatively. I paid £5k under a year ago and sold for £3k. The market does seem bad right now but I'd also purchased in a hurry, and from a dealer. That's the worst thing to do. 40% loss in 11 months
Ho hum. I have no need for it and it's not going to gain value, while I pay for tax, insurance, etc., so best let it go. I'm just glad it went to a nice normal person not one of those ebay best offer twats.
