Ford freaks. How much did some lunatic pay for Princess Di's RST again?

Yeah Ford fans are pretty daft when it comes to what value they attach to their cars and are prepared to pay.

The fun of Mat's videos are in the unexpected twists in the journey and the skill he has for storytelling, with a really positive energy, he doesn't let anything get him down (on camera, at least).
Just started watching today. Good lord you would have to be positive to get anywhere with that. Thoroughly enjoying.

Would be rude not to post it… I wonder if that’s the embargo lifted now that Europeans are getting their cars delivered.

Someone posted a first-gen Focus RS on Twitter last week, with 21 miles on it, looking for 80-95K...

Particularly good one to start this Rufford video off:

“They gave up on the car and left it”. What did they expect them do do, it’s not going to magically spring into life! I’m assuming insurance wouldn’t pay out in these situations?

That car is his livelihood, total tool.

That, and he’s a taxi driver so you would assume he knows the area!

If only there was some sort of handy marker to let you see how deep the water was before driving into it 😅

The next one with the X3 is good too. Stupid husband drowns the car and just tries to stay dry gurning like the imbecile he is whilst the wife immediately gets out, gets the child out and then starts pushing by herself.
Some people have no shame.

What's the deal with insurance in these cases? I'm sure I've read about payout(s) when cars have got flooded, but I'm wondering what exemptions insurance companies might rely on to get off paying out.

It’s not like they’ve been fought in a sudden flash flood like my other half was, they intentionally driven into what is clearly marked as being deep water. I doubt they’ll get paid out.

Maybe someone who runs this forum could help with his flood experience…

They may have deliberately driven in, but they didn't deliberately flood them, if you see the difference?

Anyway, they should've called this episode 'Rufford Ford - Boat Edition'.

No idea who that is, Simon.

I do however have a friend who drove his car into deep water, and was subsequently paid without question. Those puddles just jump out of nowhere, etc.

Yes but if you drive into water that is clearly marked as being 3ft deep there’s a strong chance it’s going to flood! I think am insurance company would put that down as being driver choice.
