i don't think it's even "slightly"- there's good reason why these guys pick the worst examples of these cars - jobs needed equals content. A quick fix and flip doesn't help them at all. That's why he'll spend £5k + changing headlights to facelift versions - it's another 4-5 mins of a video filled.
Work needed equals content, sure, however Mat doesn't get enough subs/views to spend £5k for 5 minutes of content + the sunk cost of the car. Even with the video sponsorship, this car is very spendy.
well he has 2 lambos, 1 Aston, a C63, a RR, an M3, a GT86, plus others out of it so far... they must be paying their way...

Enjoyed this, and that he’s not hiding it away. Still, £16k for a rusty crap version one makes me cry.

Doesn’t feel like a sales pitch either unlike a lot of his other vids…

He doesn't seem very switched on - or maybe he is and it's just drama to get more watching:

How could you not tell that it's glass and not plastic?

I'll keep watching though as it's incredible to see just how abused a car like that could get. I'm bowled over though that he paid £100k for it. Is that really the going rate for a Murcy with an engine that won't turn FFS?

It's compelling, isn't it? I am looking forward to seeing him get one of his flesh tunnels caught on the indicator stalk or similar.

Not just a Murci with an engine that won't turn over, though - an ex-driver day car which has been wrapped to hide bodywork damage. Saw you coming, mate

bodywork damage = another episode or two of content.

There's obviously thresholds, but a quick and easy flip is of no use to these guys whatsoever. These cars are only earning their keep if they have lots wrong to fix.

The fact he's getting so many people talking about this one means he's chosen the right car (he chose this one over a much better yellow one) even if it ends up losing money. He's even managed to get a second channels worth of footage out of this one too so another revenue stream.

True, he could have gone and bought this Murky for £150k and it would have been a boring "I just bought a lambo" 5 min vid. The fun of Mat's videos are in the unexpected twists in the journey and the skill he has for storytelling, with a really positive energy, he doesn't let anything get him down (on camera, at least).

yeah, then he'd just be Schmee, wanking on about what specific exotically named colour options he's chosen and why it's great.

I started watching his Lambo vids a couple of weeks ago. I’m not mechanically minded so wouldn’t normally be interested and I took one look at the backwards cap and thought it wouldn’t be for me. But he manages the positivity vibe and enthusiasm without coming across as a cock. I’m invested now!

He could have bought the Murci at Keighley or whatever they're now called for £140k, but it looks like someone has already because the ad's disappeared today. I bet that would have given him just as much material but for £40k more up front, so fair play to him for making watchable content.

Tim seems to be turning into Jimmy

Who TF wants a Focus ST with 0.3miles on it for £50k?
Love the Pajero.
That 4C has had a truckload of cash thrown at it....wheels are £5k alone.
