I touched on this already:

I was just saying to my wife yesterday that a nice thing about tinkering with the MINIs is that parts are quite cheap.
Sadly :(

I was watching; I think the last price I saw was £7600 (reserve not met).

Here’s a pic of what this could look like if you finish it 🤦‍♂️

Considering it appears he's not even started it, this is one of the more optimistic "needs finishing" that I have seen

It's like putting "just needs a regas" on a car that doesn't have ac and you've intentionally damaged the standard system so you can't get cold air through it; even if you didn't want the wide kit on the SEC you've got rivet holes etc to repair where bits have been roughly attached

Hang on a mo. Was it a Bullseye prize, the finished article the "here's what you could have won"?

Agreed. Earlier wheels are full of correctness.

The earlier wheels were only on the 6-cylinder XJR though. They'd look wrong on the V8 - the chrome on the bumpers is quite different, for instance, so it would be very obvious.

I’d have a go at working on that if I had the space. You could get a nice SEC with all it’s windows for about £8k the last time I checked though.

The earlier wheels are nicer, but I always had a soft spot for the slightly incongruous 5 spokes. Sharp suit with trainers :D

If it really is in decent shape, amazing value at that money.
