Calling Beany
I was disappointed with that, not the video itself, just the condition of the car. If it's even restorable are they worth doing?
Must admit, I turned it off once I saw the state of it. The owner wasn't coming across very well either, it all felt a little strained.

It was a real shame about the rot and the condition it had been stored in, i got the feeling the owner was gutted as well.
Hopefully it looks worse than it is and the shell isn't unsalvageable, in the world of £50k RS1600i's and £100k+ Escort Cosworth's you'd expect it to be valuable.

Seem a mint one is worth around £25k, it'd take that to restore this one.

Back when top gear could have cars AND dicking about. First time I’d seen this in many many years. I had missremembered the Alfa 155 bit, and thought it was tiff saying it not Jeremy.
Good to hear Little Angels suddenly appearing on the soundtrack too.

He would be mad to restore it to try and make money, but a 13k mile 2 owner xr4i will definitely appeal to the ford weirdos, and someone somewhere will have the skills and donor parts / car to fix it.
But yeah, I think if the top looks like that the bottom is going to be more air than metal.

Is that your actual former car Barry? I have a photo of it outside a church in South Cerney on the Stratford meet. Different alloys and reg but I guess I’ve now got to watch Jayemm.

Doubt its my old car tbh, I sold it to the IFG crowd and it stayed with Sean in Germany while on the 2nd 'Ring trip. They subsequently threw a rod on a hot lap, and I had a falling out with them
Dynamically it wasn't a great drivers car so if I was going to relive my youth it wouldn't be with one of those. DC2 all day long, if I went that route.

I remember when the last one crashed, good to see they're back.
Must be in with a real shout for fastest street car, there are cars in the US that have got into the 5s with similar power.

Yuk. Seeing moving images hasn’t reduced my dislike for this blatant cashing-in effort.

Friend of mine who's into EVs, trackdays and offroading did a very extensive EV towing test.
I helped with some of the filming so most of the wobbly cam is my fault.
