Rich B wrote: Thu Jun 16, 2022 10:56 am Without watching, why did they spend £2k on insurance for 3 months?

Not being funny, I ran 4/5ths of that car/engine (e92 M3) as a daily doing 10/15k a year and my insurance for 3 years was less than that.
Very expensive isnt it - also hes meant to be 28.

The other bills look realistic - @Ascender how much did yours cost to run
I had a BMW warranty on mine so had petrol, a set of rears and just routine servicing. Even the insurance wasn't that bad - the insurance on the M2 Comp is much more than the M5 was.

I was just about averaging double figures for mpg so that's where it hit me.
Cheers,

Mike.

My e92 M3 insurance was about £600 a year, I didn't have any warranty, but it had standard servicing and 1 throttle actuator in 3 years from memory.

<20mpg average though.

The figures are largely meaningless, let's be honest. I mean an MOT is required for most vehicles, as is VED, as is petrol.

Cos its all about the 'Ring time innit?

Genuinely no idea if a 07:35 lap is fast for an estate or not and don't really care, but I am thinking it might look good in a dark purple *Daytona Techno Violet - does that still exist?) with black wheels.

Cheers,

Mike.

I'll take it as read that everyone on here already knows this/gets this/deals with this suitably, it might be useful for getting the "it's not my fault" (etc) crowd to do better;

I was waiting for them to reverse the steering so he could steer the correct way for the image. I can imagine there'll be a pt2.

I was disappointed with that, not the video itself, just the condition of the car. If it's even restorable are they worth doing?
