Impeccable timing Tim; look at the replacement's details: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new- ... t-detailed
They have for most models. Anything with a vague amount of power these days seems to be xDrive only, apart from the proper M-models.JLv3.0 wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2019 10:25 am It doesn't sounds even the slightest bit appealing, almost like BMW have given up on it.
They have stopped making the M240i - currently the fastest one is the M130i with the aforementioned 2.0 4 pot.tim wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2019 10:34 am I read that as the 2 series is staying the same though? Maybe the M240i lives on.
Same as happened or his Elise 190 I think.Richard wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2019 2:19 pm I still don’t actually know what happened to Tim’s last m135i
Looks great parked round the back of that pubtim wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2019 2:37 pm Said my goodbyes to the vRS this morning, what a lovely car it has been, would recommend 10/10.
Anyway enough of that...
Thank you, that'll do nicely. The most tedious drive home imaginable from Lincoln to Norfolk but I managed to get a lick on a few times past some slowsters and lorries.
Initial impressions are it's definitely quieter and more refined inside than my M135i was. I'm not sure if it feels stiffer in comfort mode than I remember, or whether that's just contrast with the vRS, but in any case, am super happy. 36 mpg coming back wasn't to shabby given it had 1 mile on the odo, and a free full tank of juice from Soper was nice too.
It's on Bridgestone Potenza S001 runflats and not Michelin Pilot Super Sports which may not be helping the ride.
That's a shitter about the tyres. I thought these all came on MPSS non-runflats. Destroy them ASAP and go for MPSS/PS4. I'm sure it was SOO1's on my F11 5 series and they were a little underwhelming.tim wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2019 2:37 pm Said my goodbyes to the vRS this morning, what a lovely car it has been, would recommend 10/10.

S001's on my Golf - never had an issue with them. Plenty grippy. I just keep replacing them like for like. They are non Run-Flats though.McSwede wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2019 2:54 pmThat's a shitter about the tyres. I thought these all came on MPSS non-runflats. Destroy them ASAP and go for MPSS/PS4. Enjoy!
The 320d has Bridgestone S001 run flats, they’re fine for comfort/grip imo, it made me question the whole hatred for runflats. Though I do rate the Michelin super sports on my M3 - They grip well, ride well, even last well..tim wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2019 2:37 pmIt's on Bridgestone Potenza S001 runflats and not Michelin Pilot Super Sports which may not be helping the ride.
