It doesn't sound very appealing, does it.
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

It doesn't sounds even the slightest bit appealing, almost like BMW have given up on it.

I read that as the 2 series is staying the same though? Maybe the M240i lives on.

They have for most models. Anything with a vague amount of power these days seems to be xDrive only, apart from the proper M-models.

Insurance sorted, another £120 to go to the renewal in December, which isn't too bad. I didn't bother doing a comparison site new quote given the nominal change.

I got the BMW Connected app installed, and I now have the reg and vin but you can't complete the setup without being in the car. Hurry up friday!

Edit: I just realised if you sqint a bit the reg spells WANKA! :D :D :D :D :D :D

They have stopped making the M240i - currently the fastest one is the M130i with the aforementioned 2.0 4 pot.

unsure if its dead or just waiting on WLTP approval.

Good luck with it, flawed cars but they do have charm!

Said my goodbyes to the vRS this morning, what a lovely car it has been, would recommend 10/10.

Anyway enough of that...

Thank you, that'll do nicely. The most tedious drive home imaginable from Lincoln to Norfolk but I managed to get a lick on a few times past some slowsters and lorries.

Initial impressions are it's definitely quieter and more refined inside than my M135i was. I'm not sure if it feels stiffer in comfort mode than I remember, or whether that's just contrast with the vRS, but in any case, am super happy. 36 mpg coming back wasn't to shabby given it had 1 mile on the odo, and a free full tank of juice from Soper was nice too.

It's on Bridgestone Potenza S001 runflats and not Michelin Pilot Super Sports which may not be helping the ride.

That's a shitter about the tyres. I thought these all came on MPSS non-runflats. Destroy them ASAP and go for MPSS/PS4. I'm sure it was SOO1's on my F11 5 series and they were a little underwhelming.

Enjoy!

Looks good. Kinda a shame its a 5dr but I get why some go for them.

I'm a bit miffed I've got 10 months left on my Polo or I think I'd get one as a last hurrah before the shit-wheel-drive one comes out.

S001's on my Golf - never had an issue with them. Plenty grippy. I just keep replacing them like for like. They are non Run-Flats though.

The 320d has Bridgestone S001 run flats, they’re fine for comfort/grip imo, it made me question the whole hatred for runflats. Though I do rate the Michelin super sports on my M3 - They grip well, ride well, even last well..

As for 5 door - I agree they’re worse looking, but with kids I wouldn’t go for anything else.

What Rich said. Kids = 5 doors, else I'd have had t'other one as I agree they do look a bit nicer.

The runflats are a no-cost option, so whomever's cancelled order I've got obviously heard about the DEATH WHEEL DRIVE and went full-SAFETY. I'll see what they're like as I'm running it in. I'm sure I can shift them on easily enough if they're only lightly worn.

Hardon/Kardashian hifi seems pretty decent turned up to 11.
