Admiral will set you up with a proper second NCB when you add the other car, they didn’t mirror the NCB from my first car but did give me 80% of the years accrued on the second policy. I am now elsewhere with two separate policies and two separate NCB’s but a linked discount (slightly different to a “multi-car” but to the customer it works in the same way).

Seperate policies, seperate NCBs. It's usually miles cheaper than any of the multi-car bullshit.
