But not as silly as taking £40k out. It’s be better to get an interest free loan over 5 years or something, but they don’t exist.
its not really a particularly cheap V8 any way you look at it is it...
Is there a cheaper one you can buy new in the UK?
Why would I want a new one?
I’ll stick to my cheap V8 thanks.

He's not trying to sell you one you know
I only bought mine outright to avoid the interest payments, I also bought it six months old and saved myself £13k off the list price which is the price I'd have paid if I'd have bought the brand new one in the exact same spec from a Ford dealer that I was seriously enquiring about. There are no other manual V8's (or any V8's for that matter) new at that price range. People like to chop and change their cars around so they have a lot of appeal to folk who like do that sort of thing. Other people have always wanted to own a Mustang and this is a prime opportunity. I don't think the "old" model thing really comes into play on the Mustang when the facelift is a bit marmite and the whole car is more expensive, there are a few additional options to choose from but that's about it, there's nothing majorly different between the two cars.

I'm sorry! I tried to delete them but you can't delete posts that have been quoted.
I guess it's just something I will have to carry with me from this point on.

New Mustang does indeed look crap. Can see the pre-facelift being the much more desirable model in decades to come. Kinda like how Americans drool about some random 74’ model year but not the 75 coz it had an uglier grill etc or am I just watching too much Gas Monkey Garage. (Model years made up as I can’t remember the actual one...)
But muscle cars/most yank stuff are all about adding your own touch to them so I’d prefer to own one outright and as a long term proposition in order to modify it. Although I do know that I’m in the minority with that opinion.
