Probably wrong - Alfa didn’t offer them in silver did they? The grey looks bang on.
Mazda don’t offer the MX5 in Atomic Teal either, doesn’t mean you can’t muse on the idea!

I was thinking like a bronze colour, a bit cliche on an Alfa but it’d look good.

That's very 8-)

Alfa absolutely nailed it with this car, I don't think we will see another fast saloon one as well as this, be a hard choice between this or an XF-RS for me.

Yeah, as Rich mentioned, it's an M3/RS4 alternative - the performance numbers for all cars are just absurd these days anyway so few 100kgs either way is nothing. Engine is based on the Ferrari F154 though with 2cyl chopped off, just as a nugget of information ;)

A few italianisms are cropping up already - main one that it doesn't just creep in gear, it does about 10mph pretty much instanatly once you take your foot off the brake. Fine movement are challenging to say the least.

If only they did an estate version I would be very tempted...
No idea why they didn't. The 156 and 159 were popular in 'sportwagon' format and it would have worked well.

I love them, but I think it’s a bit of a shame they didn’t do a pretty 2 door either for people who don’t need a saloon. The 156 based gt seemed to sell well too. Would have addressed the small front doors and B-pillar placement some have criticised the 4 door for.

Well I think that demonstrates that silver doesn’t work so well on the wheels - unusual but the Italians usually know what they’re doing on matters of style.

Great Scott!

I just think the design looks a bit cheap in silver.

yeah, i don’t know if it would work - but i just like silver wheels, so it would be interesting to see!

i’d like to do mine bright silver one day, if i ever needed to refurb them i’d probably give it a go.

Nice one Matty, you having one of these was surely an inevitability from when they released it? Red is obviously the best colour and yours sports teledial correctness as well 8-)

I do wonder how my MX5 wheels would look in silver. But like your car, when they come in black/dark grey it's a bit of a shot in the dark. Some wheels look awful when refurbished differently to the original.

Massive want, even the lower 2.0t veloce (280bhp) appeals. I believe a lot of the kit minus the engine is shared.

I like those wheels, but I think a bit lighter would look great.

...but then I would say that.

As we are all obsessing over the rimz : I don't like black wheels, but I do like darker tones so long as you can still easily see the design of the alloys, and differentiate wheel rim from tyre sidewall. They do look good in bright silver, but the colour of Matty's =
