There aren’t many affordable, relatively speaking, manual V12 cars about.

Dave!
Wow, that comes as a massive surprise 🤣🤣

Maybe the best bet would be to get a Jag with an auto and budget in a few grand for a conversion?

You can get an off the shelf bellhousing for putting a T56 on it.

Well I thought over 40 years of relatively modern vehicles there would be more than you can count on your fingers.

...
Most of the ones I can think of are large saloons or cruisers.

I'm really not following your logic here ! Is a large saloon or cruiser now a sports car, as long as it has a manual gearbox ?

There's one BMW 850CSi manual on Autotrader and it's £55k!

It must have sporty credentials, an M5 to me is a sports car as it is designed to be sporty. I don’t think any sports car has to be a 2 seater coupe for example. The M5 is more of a sports car than an XK8 for example in my eyes.

Oh my word that is stunning.

Change the gear knob and that would be perfect, Astons are appealing more and more as they are ageing better than most.

Can’t afford it, if I were to do an engine conversion now it would be a Cummins in the Defender.

Ooh - can we now have another debate on the relative aural qualities of a Merlin vs a Griffon?
