I told my dad on the day the war started to quickly order heating oil. He got it for 62p, just looking now and it’s £1.30!
My Dad and Brother tried the same but the Oil Companies aren't accepting Payment in advance - Bill will be the price on the day...
Yep, pisstake.
Crude had gone up about 25% at the time, but heating oil had more than doubled in 4 days. Ours was ordered the week before and delivered Friday for £338 for 500l inc vat.
Petrol has jumped 8p at Tescos, but less at shell, so only a couple of pence between the two. Diesel however approx 12p/ litre more at shell than Tesco.
I think fuel being stable so long has flattered inflation rates, it doesn’t seem to have moved more than a few pence either way in 3 years or so.

Sadly not but in winter our gas bill is virtually no different.
We had a back boiler but the plumbing wasn't suitable to go with our boiler so we had to remove it. The next house will have a Russian Stove and back boiler definitely as we will have more space.

I drove quite a few miles on the A1 yesterday and the large difference in fuel prices was surprising, the garages taking the piss at not far off £1.70 a litre for diesel were mainly deserted. I filled up at one charging £1.44 which wasn't bad for the location.

God bless a woodburner
Dave!
Brothers quote has gone up €100... since yesterday (€850 to €950)

New i3. No not a new version of the old i3. New 3 series i3.
Why did they make the back like a 2 series coupe

i quite like the front, not so much the rear. The (awful) steering wheel looks like it’s upside down and the big screen looks like it’s been sat on.

As with the ix3, it seems that they're overstating the "new era of design" aspect of the Neue Klasse idea. It's just a new corporate BMW face grafted on to a body that otherwise looks like a pre-existing model, in this case the dumpy 2-series.

Definitely taking too many cues from the X2 there. It manages to make the 3-series look narrow and tall from behind, not low and wide as it should.
Neue Klasse? Bag of shite.

I was hopeful this would be the first decent looking new bmw for a while.
I don’t dislike it, but the rear end is pretty disappointing, and the steering wheel is daft.

I think there’s only 2, top and bottom. Hard to tell though

To distract you from that fucking screen in the middle, obviously.

The interior is disappointing. It’s just a Tesla dash with an ugly steering wheel and wonky screen so you can differentiate it.
The new DS looks nicer inside - again minus the steering wheel

That new DS looks just like every other Stellantis product - I have lost track of what the models are called but Peugeots, Vauxhalls, DSs all have the same slightly tall slab-sided proportions.

The scary thing is, those 4 spokes aren’t the 4 you think. there are actually 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom.
it truly is the ugliest steering wheel i have ever seen.

There are four steering wheel designs... one spoke, two spokes, three spokes and four spokes? Each deleting one more of the spokes on the 4 spoke wheel?
It's weird that there are gaps which aren't big enough to slide your hand through. Getting you little finger caught in one appears to be a genuine risk.

Just make it as thick as a Pringles can
Ideal size.

I like the look of the exterior, and the pano-idrive-thingy, but steering wheel is strange.. range is getting up there now, but still a gem away from me desiring one
