Yep, pisstake.

Crude had gone up about 25% at the time, but heating oil had more than doubled in 4 days. Ours was ordered the week before and delivered Friday for £338 for 500l inc vat.

Petrol has jumped 8p at Tescos, but less at shell, so only a couple of pence between the two. Diesel however approx 12p/ litre more at shell than Tesco.

I think fuel being stable so long has flattered inflation rates, it doesn’t seem to have moved more than a few pence either way in 3 years or so.

Sadly not but in winter our gas bill is virtually no different.

We had a back boiler but the plumbing wasn't suitable to go with our boiler so we had to remove it. The next house will have a Russian Stove and back boiler definitely as we will have more space.

I drove quite a few miles on the A1 yesterday and the large difference in fuel prices was surprising, the garages taking the piss at not far off £1.70 a litre for diesel were mainly deserted. I filled up at one charging £1.44 which wasn't bad for the location.
