All faster than my M3 CSL, which evo have down as 12 seconds to 100
Doggy gearbox?
Some people have had to have the clutch bite point recalibrated on their CSL's, because of clutch slur, so it is possible the transmission could be responsible for the slow time evo recorded.
The launch control has otherwise supposed to be pretty much spot on, if everything is in good order. But then, the CSL was more about optimum Nurburgring laptimes, than 0-60/100mph times anyway.

Have you seen the Carwow drag race between different generation M3s, Marv? I don’t think the gear change helps much.

I didn’t know anything about the Thema, what a cool car. Love the spoiler, the quirky headrests, the glorious engine noise.
I think Lotus Carlton looks nicer from the outside but on a whole I prefer the Thema 8:32. 500E still the daddy though.

I'll be watching that when I get home, I've been waiting for it since he teased it on Instagram before he fucked off to Italy .

The 8.32 was a pointless car. The turbo was cheaper, had the same power, more torque and was lighter.
I bloody love the 8.32.

A mate of a mate had a Fiat Croma Turbo ie (like a Thema hatchback) and it was mental, plus he'd had it tuned. But the 8.32 had a Ferrari V8 and was therefore infinitely cooler.

WAY cooler - it always got me that the Thema Turbo was quicker though.

Never thought he would get to drive one?
Come on Harry, they were about £3k 15 years ago, I'm sure if you'd really wanted to you could have had one.
No idea what a decent one is worth these days though, probably stupid amounts.
But yes, no one really wanted one when a turbo was about 1/3rd of the price and with a chip would leave it for dead and would be considerably cheaper to service and fix.
One of the first Car magazines I remember reading had an 8.32 vs 328 article in it

But it's front wheel drive....
aaand there goes the appeal.

There’s a Series 1 for sale in Ireland for £10.5k and a nicer one in Italy for about £18k, so not daft money at all, considering the rarity and heritage.

FWD? What? I genuinely did not know that. Don’t think Harry mentioned it in the video, or did he?
500E it is then.

You knew what platform they were based on - all FWD.
Come on guys, stop being younger than me!
BTW - wasn't the Alfa 164 based on the same platform? Did Harry miss that?
