If they're blowing the right way, they'll definitely make the car faster.

So you can either have £50k burning a hole in your pocket, or an A110 burning a hole in your garage.

Hobsons choice?

Sounds more like Jobson's Choice, but he chose a wife instead.

having watched the video, I now get it. Looks so much better on the move and details like the wheel design and the proportions are bang on. Want.

My only complaint is that if I was getting one, I’d want the Pure spec but with the wheels off the Legende spec, but that’s not an option. Not that I’m having one.

Still think it looks awful from every angle but Harry seems to rate it as a driver’s car. 0-100 in 10 secs and mid 30s MPG

I’d still take an Exige every time though.

That’s seriously quick!

I’d love to have a go in the Alpine.

Just checked, 4.3/9.2 vs 4.5/10.3

That M140i would do 4.6/10.4

I know we discussed it recently but the 9.2 figure is astonishing.

Weirdly I guess that modern tyres would hinder you.

Apparently the quickest way to launch a modern 911 is 5k-ish, drop the clutch and plough on through the axle tramp. With the MPS4Ss on mine, the clutch just slips if you try that and all you'll get it the stench of molten clutch plates.

I have PS2 and IIRC the rear pair were manufactured in 2010 & 2014 (front pair from 2011) :D

The 0-100 chat prompted me to look at the Exige’s claimed times.

7.9 seconds.

That can’t be right, can it?

9.6s 0-100 for a MY12 car but not sure if it was measured ‘two-up’.

4.06s 0-60 with passenger.

7.9s for the 380 without passenger? There’s only one way to find out ;)
