^ That looks very much like the right car for the job
I'm not
that jealous of the roads. Honestly
Yeah, the car was a riot on them roads
I rate the roads around Scotland as the best I've driven, but the above route is up there with the best....

Well I’ve got the 6 series back and with that my month of ruinously expensive vehicle expenditure should be over.
Work done -

The mechanic mentioned how it felt very lively for a 645 and I said it was remapped - good to get confirmation that it’s actually doing something since it was remapped back when I was a mere kid being taken to junior school in it so I sure as hell can’t notice it

That didn't strike anyone else as a strange use of words? I would expect dad to make you draw from the trust fund for whimsical land rover upgrades, but his 6er?

I noticed that as well - as Sales ever actually earned any money? I then realised I didn't care enough to pursue the subject.

Same as any other cryptocurrency then

- although they've all gone up overnight so as ever, let's see. Still very much in its infancy!

Mini made it to France and back with no dramas - carried some nice wine too which was a welcomed thank you.
I've yet to fit the JB+ box to make it faster than a slug.

The Saab goes in for it's MOT today and I am wishing I had got off my bum and fitted the discs and pads I have for the front! Ah well, i will take the lad to see Ant Man rather than fret!

Does anyone here use Apple CarPlay? I can remember something about using Waze on it on the old forum but not sure how? Seems like ios12 will allow it natively but is there a workaround until that is launched?

I’ve used ios12 for the last couple of months; no issues on iPhone X or iPad (air 2 and latest). Dunno if the Waze thing is available on the beta though..

iOS 12 is supposed to allow it but not until the app is updated to suit it so doesn't work at the moment.

Megane has two keys again thanks to a chap on eBay and a local auto locksmith (though I tried about 6 different ones before this guy came out, and handily he was very efficient). £110 all in, vs £250+ from a dealer.
I've also been given the ok for running the remap with the cat back on, as it's a Stage 1 map. Their words but sounds fair enough. Interesting that they described the map as having launch control. I have asked for more info.

I’ll ask scotty about that for you tomorrow if you like.

Can do, yeah. Thanks. I’m still in touch with him and I did ask him about the remap. He didn’t have any details but did remind me I had a printout which showed it was a Stage 1. Scott never mentioned launch control to me, just lots of pops, which are now greatly diminished with the cat back on.
Say hi from me anyway.

Windows squeak a bit on the 330. Banged some silicon lube on the rubber seals which helped a bit, but it's still quite annoyingly squeaky.
Suppose I'll have a closer look at the weekend when I can be arsed.
Current town driving MPG - about 17. I think I'll start walking to work again soon

Beany - Gummi Pflege. The only thing to use on convertible seals.

I saw that referenced, I just sprayed some silicon lube on a cloth and wiped it along the rubber window seals and on the outside of the rear quarterglass frames, which made a difference.
There are a few guides out there on fully reconditioning the window seals and the fuzzy bits so again, job for the weekend.
