New UCS Jabbas Barge

Ridiculous cost as per £429.99!

There are a couple of official sets that come with multiples of troopers I think, folk tend to buy a couple of them to farm the minifigs.
Or AliExpress.
You can get knockoff mini figures on Ali Express?? 🤯

I guess that makes sense though!
I keep an eye on the Lepin Reddit and there's plenty of alternatives to Ali as well. Look for one where people have had decent service (all my altbrick buying has been good from a variety of sellers, touchwood)

Example (but not a recommendation as I've not shopped there personally)

I've found someone in Germany who has 570 of the Snowtroopers available at about £4 each. So I just need to work out how many I need :D

Half our stuff is in a shipping container but I found the Jaws set this morning at the house so I'll be making that first I think.

You’re not honestly going to spend £140 on mini figures for one model? i kind of get buying expensive kits to build, but spending £140 to put 35 mini figures together and put them in some seats you’ll probably never look at again seems mental to me!

Of course not. You'd have to be crazy to even consider doing that....

My wife didn't ask you to ask that did she? It sounds like something she would definitely ask.

Feels like a trap.

It’s lovely but I’m finding it harder and harder to justify the cost of Lego

I finally ordered the UCS Millennium Falcon as its got £210 off at Argos at the moment. Not actually had time to make any of these sets since moving but hoping for some downtime at Christmas.

That's about a tenner away from my staff discount, it won't get much cheaper than that tbh.

I'll be using said discount on the Endurance in Jan (staff orders closed over the holidays sadly).

Finally got round to starting the Jaws set and its paper envelopes for all the parts. Is that standard on all their sets now?

I think so. One little thing they can do.

Eldest bought and built the Sorting Hat set. It is now making predictions in his room.

They've been threatening paper bags for a while yeah, I had a 3in1 set recently that had them. Just be mindful you get all the parts out, as some tiny ones like to hide in the creases at the bottom.
