Always wondered how it works on modern active dampers when people fit lowering springs. Do you disable the system entirely, or does it just not work as effectively and/or reduce the life of the dampers?16vCento wrote: Fri Jan 29, 2021 4:35 pm Will have a chat with a friend over the weekend who has done a few sets on XF's now, not sure how it goes with the Adaptive Dampers and lowering.
FBMWSH doesn't mean no one else has ever done any repairs. Unless you're saying bodying door locks to work are a service item?Beany wrote: Sat Jan 30, 2021 1:18 pm Apparently full BMW service history involves miss placing screws and just ripping holes in the door vapour barrier. Hell, I can do that without charging sixty quid an hour for it FFS. Which is probably a good thing as I spent 15 mins trying to get a bite on a torx screw that wasn't actually there
I posted on Facebook in the Evo group that "some fucking mong" had done that, and I think I'm about to be put in Facebook jail, now. Sigh.![]()
That's a fair point. I think I'm still annoyed about that screw. That, and it's looks like getting the actuator out is a two person job because the glass will need supporting while it's rail is removed.
