I wish damper "dynos" were common over here like they seem to be in euroland (even the ADAC trailer has one), then situations like this could be (speedily...) resolved without you having to battle guesswork and/or opinion from the other side.
That is good. There is a good specialist in Galashiels, HR Motors, lad who owns it is a trained BMW master tech iirc, my mate gets his M3 looked after there and has been really chuffed.
Heard anything back? Saw your comment on Facebook which didn’t sound too promising
ITs back with BMW for the next stages. Awaiting response. I think it's the front dampers. Had a mechanic who specialises in German marques drive it - he concurs.
BMW care is variable. I find that smaller family owned franchises are great. I use Sandal Wakefield and they have been superb. Big group owned ones have been a bit shit.Shlergen wrote: Tue Jun 27, 2023 6:14 pm Really hope you get it sorted. The dealership experience has put me off BMW. Not sure if the cars are anymore complex than the VAG range but I've not had the same issues across 4-5 cars.
Move forward 3 weeks and…we’re no further forwards. I sent 3 emails last week that I had no response to. Finally lost it and called them yesterday afternoon. Told them I had completely run out of sense of humour and any faith that they can fix the car. I’ve told them I want to return the car for a refund. Emailed the following.scotta wrote: Tue Jun 27, 2023 5:03 pmITs back with BMW for the next stages. Awaiting response. I think it's the front dampers.
