But pesto or beschamel sauce are also common tomato alternatives.

Then you have the hipster cheese free pizzas for the complete weirdos.
How about not having a sig at all?

I had a really good pizza with a bechamel sauce a wee while ago.

Roasted Courgette, peas and mint with a little bit of mozzarella and parmesan. Very light and summery.
An absolute unit
