Re: The Argos Catalogue
I spent many happy hours on the toilet looking through that thing.
Re: The Argos Catalogue
There was a time it was probably the only book I read.

Re: The Argos Catalogue
Older people still buy from catalogues. Seeing how they are not allowed out a big item in the way gets read time after time.

My folks are in their mid 70's and are amongst the most technically phobic and illiterate people I know.
They each have an iPad and can browse Argos just fine.

They can't be that tech iliterate. My in-laws are more tech-phobic. We had to get them a new TV recently when their 32" Loewe CRT gave up. The replacement specifically had to not have any smart tech, even though they don't even have the internetSimon wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 11:25 pm My folks are in their mid 70's and are amongst the most technically phobic and illiterate people I know.

Swervin_Mervin mine are very similar. Any frightening email from scammers scares them silly. I set up their computers, TVs and iPads. Their eyesight is a bit hit and miss so dad reads the paper not online.

Broccers once again confirming that he time travelled here from the 60s
I’m surprised they kept going for this long tbh. It must’ve been a big cost and printing thousands of paper catalogues is pretty wasteful.
The last few times I’ve bought from Argos they didn’t even use them in store.

Combined marketing is the way forward, not one or the other. They're still doing a physical Xmas catalogue for example.
Also, Argos was bought by Sainsbury who haven't a history of catalogue shopping really.
