Albon looked out of sorts today, maybe old Dietrich has told him that's he's bringing his big pal Sebastian back next season.
No F1 thread?
Re: No F1 thread?
Might be a long shot, but I'm hoping GR nails it and gets a point for Williams tomorrow.

Re: No F1 thread?
Albon hasn’t really put in any stand out performances so I don’t think he’s long for this team. Seems to struggle in wheel to wheel combat and one lap pace which doesn’t leave much to excel in!
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
Vetell will replace him next year.
Re: No F1 thread?
So looks like a wet race. Max has already binned it on the installation lap

B*stard. Made me think I'd missed the start! Had to rush to finish a private moment!Mito Man wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 1:48 pm So looks like a wet race. Max has already binned it on the installation lap![]()
Meanwhile rather bad start for Max.

That shot of Hamilton getting in the car and adjusting his bollocks for 15 seconds was not needed

Re: No F1 thread?
Got to feel for Kvyat asking to come to get slicks on the parade lap, team says no, Haas do it and end up 3rd and 4th after the pit stops while Kvyat sits in 13th or something.

Excellent race and a commanding win from Hamilton. He's in a league of his own. Next, Frozen 2 with the kids... Unlikely to be as exciting.

Solid race, but a shame the rain they kept promising never showed up.

Started dozing off a few times and that was watching the highlights. Really needed a mid race downpour to spice things up a bit.
Cheers, Harry

So Bottas 3.0 or 4.0 or whatever he’s on now. New beard, new girlfriend, new hope - still goes to crap as soon as the pressure ups a bit...

You'd imagine LH would have troubled the second step if the role were reversed!Mito Man wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 9:18 pm So Bottas 3.0 or 4.0 or whatever he’s on now. New beard, new girlfriend, new hope - still goes to crap as soon as the pressure ups a bit...
Re: No F1 thread?
Haas told their drivers to do that. Turns out that it’s illegal to give instruction on the formation lap (a remaining big of regulation from the year engineers couldn’t tell drivers to do anything). Both drivers given 10sec penalty, both loosing a position eachduncs500 wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 2:25 pm Got to feel for Kvyat asking to come to get slicks on the parade lap, team says no, Haas do it and end up 3rd and 4th after the pit stops while Kvyat sits in 13th or something.

But presumably Kvyat could have done it because he made the request?jamcg wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 11:05 pmHaas told their drivers to do that. I’m guessing that it was a better race Watched on highlights?
I liked how Stroll has a great drive after our week of bashing him! We’ll never know what that car would be like with Verstappen or Hamilton in it!

Well, we might get Vettel in it next year. With the years of SV memes “oh lord won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz” it would be quite ironicRich B wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2020 7:54 am I’m guessing that it was a better race Watched on highlights?

Yep, Stroll puts in a decent qualy/race and beats his team mate. Same for Vettel, bar the couple mistakes he made (and got away with)Rich B wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2020 7:54 am I’m guessing that it was a better race Watched on highlights?

Yep, lest we forget the day Pastor Maldonado won a Grand Prix!
