The more outlandish blue space magicks were always my least favourite part of The Expanse so last few eps have been a bit disappointing for me. Hoping for a return to "reality" soonish.

Enjoyed Frankie Boyle goes to Russia, he was in St Petes same time as me, astoundingly cold!

I think I'm more pleased with how well they teased what will no doubt be an exposition dump next week about what that was Holden saw. I mean, they basically rolled with it and made it a 2001-esque moment, and pulled it off pretty well.

I quite like the protomoecule stuff.

Well there wasn't much exposition or the Roci doing awesome shit but still a great episode. Gritty grimy ugly space stuff, fantastic.

Considering how much the series had built up and up with the attack on the embassy etc, you'd think the series finale would be a major event. Instead it's like the producers had run out of money and so based it all around Carrie's mum and other trivialities. Such disappoint, so confusion.
Still I keep enjoying it through to S7. IIRC sometimes their big action finale is in the penultimate episode and the last one is a 'let's all calm down'. Not always though.

Half way through Mr Robot S3, last episode was awesome.
Into S5 now and it seems a return to form!

Something I like about The Expanse is that, almost without fail, physics always wins.

Space is hard, it seems.

Still can't believe the Expanse S3 isn't on Netflix. Cunts.

Watching Happy! at the moment. Very strange concept, but it's quite entertaining to watch with some funny bits here and there.

Also watched Evil Genius recently. Ok, but how stupid most of the people in it are makes me want to weep for humanity. Especially when the interviewees keep saying how intelligent the main protagonists are... fuck, if they're intelligent then there's hope for all of us!

We've just started watching the second series of a Documentary call The Handmaids Tale.

It's not a light, fluffy, feel good comedy. It is very good.

Just caught the finale of Westworld, and it was a bit dense. Didn't feel as well polished as S1s finale but clearly they're setting up Season 3 to be where things change from the existing/understood Westworld main story (IE a lot of this season was clearly tipping a hat to Futureworld).

I did notice something interesting, but it's a fuuuuucking huge spoiler if you've not seen it, so don't quote this post if you don't want to be annoyed.
Spoiler
The MIBs daughter said she had plans for him that are worse than death, etc. What happens at the end? He's a host, being given a fidelelity test, and has for the last umpteen times, just gone through killing his daughter at the park and being left for dead in the desert. Sounds a bit like the Hell in Preacher to me...

I don't think we'll see Ed Harris in Season 3 - i think that was explicitly meant to be a callback to that moment.

Of all the people I would expect to be watching the WC.

I've been keeping up with it pretty well, I think the key is agreeable kick off times this year. It's been pretty good so far, to my surprise Russia seem to be hosting very well as far as I can tell.

Yeah they don't seem to have raped or murdered too many people just yet. The effort must be killing them.

I watched a bit of a Senegal match last week but that’s about my limit.

I’ve got Russia and Harry Kane in the sweep at work so I’ve got half an eye on them.

I quite liked the end of Westworld, looking forward to seeing where it goes next.

Started on the new Luke Cage last night, seems like more of the same.

I think Preacher is starting again soon.

I've not watched any of the football 8-)

The Expanse S3 finale:
Significantly more enjoyable and less convoluted then Westworld, I'll say that much - and I liked the Westworld finale for all it's flaws.

Looking forward to seeing how they translate Cibola Burn to the telly for next season - that's a cracking wee tale, make no mistake.

Finale was good but quite rushed. No idea where the story goes now, I guess they have thousands of options.

Binged the last four episodes of Lost in Space, better than I expected.

Westworld

Just finished S2 last night

This season wasn’t as good as the first. It just feels a bit too confusing. Almost like the producers were being too clever. I left the season not really knowing for sure when anything happened. Really, I think I need to watch it again to try and work it out, but equally I’m not sure I can be bothered

Pleased to finally get a bit of Radiohead in this season though, with Codex. The lyrics are especially interesting with regards to the seasons story

Billions

A great season. Shot really well

I enjoyed the story, and the set up running into the next season looks like it’ll be great. Not sure I want to pick sides though. I can’t quite work out who the good guy is

The only think I think it’s missing is more billionaire type stuff. There’s not enough expensive cars/helicopters/boats etc etc
