Oh that’s excellent

Mine was that shape. Lovely noise, handling benefitted from having 150kg taken out of it but as a woofly waiter it’s great (though OC has a Mustang for that role).speedingfine wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2020 12:54 pmThat looks like a winner if it goes under £10k. That one looks nice and not a bad price even for 200k as long as loads of stuff has been replaced, I’ve seen them for silly high money.

Or similar.
It would only be replacing the want for another hot hatch following the riot I had in my two Fiesta ST’s, however I think the Clio will do better long term with prices where they are currently. A Clio Williams might of the price bracket already.Sundayjumper wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2020 8:25 amYou’ve mentioned Clios at least twice now so that’s clearly what you’re (consciously or unconsciously) after. If I just wanted a track car I’d consider that, I wonder how much work would be needed to get it back in her road
I wouldn't buy a mk1 Clio unless it was soemthing you were going to cherish - they're rare as hen's teeth these days and getting parts will be quite difficult. Renault (and the French in general) used to cease making parts for models more than 2 generations old. I'm not even sure how easy it is to get new OEM parts for the Mk2 tbh.Orange Cola wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2020 1:39 pmIt would only be replacing the want for another hot hatch following the riot I had in my two Fiesta ST’s, however I think the Clio will do better long term with prices where they are currently. I really quite fancy the idea of something Lotus based as I’ve always fancied either an Elise or a Caterfield.

Isn't the Lotus really a Vauxhall?
Haha! It’s built by lotus as a re-styled Elise S2.John wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2020 8:47 amIsn't the Lotus really a Vauxhall?Orange Cola wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2020 8:42 amBecause it’s really a Lotus!Rich B wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2020 8:30 am The perfect demonstration of my previously quoted test.
