How’s about a Loltus?
Interestingly the fwd mini’s we race in sub optimal conditions are absolutely hilariously sideways, soft front end and you ramp the rear much stiffer and ARB settings to dial out understeer, you spend more time looking out the side windows especially if on the “wrong” tyres

Yep I bet, different for a race car though - you’re deliberately setting them up to turn with the least amount of steering so you can get on the power early as possible. Much like my loltus will be when it’s finally done....
But this is my everyday road car. Rear drive, a diff and a screaming Honda engine is right up my alley.

Re: Renault megane EOTR
FWD rarely works, and certainly not with a massive amount of HP. My Focus ST was just annoying in the end because i ended up constantly driving around it’s traction limitations and torque steer whilst enjoying all the traits of a hard ride. However I really miss my old Fiesta ST because that was a genuinely fun car and not because of the driveline.
Anyway, what’s the replacement? S2000?

Silver, same as the last one.

Can I ask what condition and what price point? I’ve been looking at them and watching them go up over the years!

It’s an 09 model, 50k miles, very nice condition but not perfect. It was up for 16 and I got it for 14.Orange Cola wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 6:49 pmCan I ask what condition and what price point? I’ve been looking at them and watching them go up over the years!

Yes they shot up almost immediately after I sold my 08 plate car in 2012 for peanuts, within a year or two they were worth double what i'd sold it for. They're coming back down again because of age, but they're holding their money well.

at S2000 prices. Isn't that Boxster/Cayman money for that age?
Sorry to see the Megane go. I agree for FWD they are a lot of fun. Yours on 18s probably rode better than mine does on 19s though. I've been in some *very* rapid ones on track (not mine as I drive like a wuss in comparison).

Hope not to! I only sold the last one as I was desperate to get another Elise, as that Elise has been sat in a pile for the last 6 years I won’t be rushing to get another

Maybe if you save up some money, you'll be able to afford to pay someone to put the Elise back together?
