The bench is built from an old table and will get casters soon (when they arrive) so it can be moved into the middle for long things. I may still put doors on the front (It’s made the right size for the doors I have) but I’m undecided at the moment.
Yeah, I’m thinking doors may end up just getting in the way and ending up messy inside. I think I’ll just have one tool chest below and room to move the chop saw below when not in use, as that’s always been my issue - things not having their place.
Vice/s are definitely on the list, as well as a matching height table saw and lots of clamps!
Good job, first proper thing I ever built was this workbench 6 years ago, it was made with what the builders had left behind. Originally I had either side of the workbench raised so it was level with the cutting base of the mitre saw. Then that saw died so I removed all that. Should last forever though.

Liking the power tool wall idea. Sadly mine are mostly corded so they'll have to stay their boxes. It's given me some ideas though.
Loving the workbench pics although [mention]Mito Man[/mention] gets added-points just for the fabulous goat.
We have a large shed about to be empty and the garden office which needs fitted out, so I'm thinking the shed gets a workbench and I can then move everything from the garage in to there.
Really struggling to find a cost effective solution that I'm happy with for the garage floor. I would like epoxy painted, but I think if you don't scabble it first it basically won't last (or is a lottery at best), so I'd be looking at paying a contractor £££, or trying to do it myself which even then isn't cheap by the time you've hired kit to scabble it and bought the paint... plus would have the added risk of fucking it up.
Might have to look at tiles again, although I just think once you start storing a car in it oil etc will get into the concrete and it would be hard to go back to the painted solution later.
Probably worth getting a quote for epoxy I suppose.
