Fortnite BR

Post by RobYob »

I'm giving it another go having found a few people at work to team up with.

The new squads in BR mode seem a touch unfair (yes teamwork is ducking OP)

My nephew is all over it and keeps trying to get me to buy an XBox to play it. Balls to that.

I did try it on PC, but it's not my bag...bring back Counter Strike 1.3.

This is all the rage amongst primary school kids, which disturbed me somewhat when I downloaded it to see what it was all about. Don't people parent their children anymore?

Neither of mine are allowed anywhere near it, or Roblox.

Good for you. It has a PEGI rating of 12, yet you often hear of kids younger than that on it, with personality changing consequences.

7 and 9.

I’ve played it a bit and I can see the attraction to be honest, for grown ups who can separate the reality. But 9 year olds don’t need to be playing games whose sole aim is to kill as many people as possible.

They can stick to minecraft.

I don’t allow them on social media either. Fun dad! 😁

The original idea of a battle royal game came from the Minecraft PvP servers so better watch what they play on that.

I think Fortnight and PUBG are a pile of crap anyway.
How about not having a sig at all?

Thread necro, anyone tried Chapter 2?

I think it's become substantially easier, whether it's the new map, the bots, the matchmaker or some hitherforeunto unknown "skills" I won three solo games over the weekend.

That's after giving up on chapter 1 as I was never even getting close to a win.

They're now better at matching you with other players who are similarly shit, it seems.

Hmm, might give it another go. My youngest ( 16 ) is properly hooked on it. I've played it a few times but was so useless I soon gave up 😹
