Does the owner of that M5 know it’s for sale on eBay?

Five previous owners . It's either the V5 for something else it's been through the hands of people who don't want to pay for/can't afford maintenance and have sold it on before any bills have come along.
Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?
5 isn’t that many on that sort of car. Sporty/interesting cars often have more owners - enthusiast people have them for a year or two and move onto the next interesting car on their want list.KevH18 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 12:37 pm

I was owner number 10 on my M3 and it’s service history was perfect and it gave me 35k if reliable motoring.

I hadn't realised it was 9 years old too, which doesn't make it as bad as I thought. I usually keep cars for a few years so slightly alien to me.Rich B wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 12:47 pm5 isn’t that many on that sort of car. I can charge a small fee for saying F360s are going to tank in value and people need to get rid now?Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 1:02 pm Shhhh ! People like Kev help keep prices down for the rest of us !

If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

£12k spent getting it like that in the last 2 years and then selling it for a few quid moreDelphi wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:50 am This is lovely - and cheap

The 928 is kind of like the old BMW 6 series to me. They can look Absolutely fantastic in the right trim level, colour and wheel/ride height/offset. Or can just look awful, But I can’t quite put my finger on what that perfect combo is!

Would you really take one over a 996, though?

I really dislike the 928, zero want whatsoever!

Yes, but I'm a sucker for that era of Porsche. If it's been rebuilt to a high standard by capable folks, £16.5 does seem cheap.
RichB, did you see the green/tan 928 on Collecting Cars the other week... That looked pretty perfect to me. Wheels are critical on the 928 though, bad ones ruin the look! (I would have to change the ones in the blue car for example)

I sort of like them, but for me, like a Jag XJS or a Triumph Stag, they’re a £5k car at best.

The Saab stand was next to the Jag stand a number of years ago at a car show and the man next to me had an electric toothbrush and was using it to clean his XJS wheels.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:57 pmI sort of like them, but for me, like a Jag XJS or a Triumph Stag, they’re a £5k car at best.
A 928 was my dream car as a kid. I thought I had convinced my Mum to trade her Polo in against a white one with checkerboard cloth interior but in retrospect she may have been playing along.
