It could end up as part of the Daimler group, there’s several tie ins between the engine, electrical and infotainment side for the road cars, the fact Wolff and Stroll are now investors (Wolff recently having an investment foot in both camps) and now the bloke from AMG stepping in. I think Merc really could make Aston work but I’m just speculating.duncs500 wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 11:31 am Surely the fact that someone successful has gone in there tells us that it's not over?
Daimler has a hosts of its own problems right now so an Aston take over is unlikely. If Stroll can get the business turned around then in a few years a Merc buyout is more likely.Orange Cola wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 11:36 amIt could end up as part of the Daimler group, there’s several tie ins between the engine, electrical and infotainment side for the road cars, the fact Wolff and Stroll are now investors (Wolff recently having an investment foot in both camps) and now the bloke from AMG stepping in.
