Hey the last season (7?) was superb! Admittedly there have been some not-so-good ones in between.

I'm at the same point. A couple of episodes into season 4. Loving it still, but sometimes want to punch Carrie in the face because she can be _so_ fucking annoying.

The first season was incredible, wasn’t it?

Wish they were brave enough to end it with a bang
Yeah I wish they hadn't bottled the last episode, it would have been genuinely shocking!

This weeks Expanse was slower than recent ones (there's a joke in there for those watching/reading) but filled out a few background plot points, which couldn't be exposited in the book.

Still, liking how they've implemented the main mcguffin as it stands. Looks like the end of the series will be interesting :)

Whilst Homeland is something I watch with the O/H, I've started enjoying White Gold on Netflix. It's actually a BBC production, so maybe was on there first (BBC3 maybe?)

It's got James and Joe from The Inbetweeners (Jay and Simon) and also Ed Westwick who play some double glazing salesmen in the early '80's. Pretty funny so far, but then again maybe I'm enjoying it because of the nostalgia factor?

White Gold was superb. There's going to be a second series too I understand.

Lots of well observed car placements in White Gold - it's very funny (often "through the fingers" though as some of it's toe-curling)

Westworld - interesting, near standalone episode tonight. Beautifully shot, gently paced, solid story telling, if seeming to be a little bit of a detour from the main plot. Curious to see where they take that particular strand of the story and integrate it in with everything else.
Spoiler
If you think there was nothing but filler in this episode, note that Dolores was primed to go sentient; the Ghost Nation bod worked it out himself, which is quite interesting...

Same, some of it is scarcely believable :(

Its on hold due to allegations against one of the actors.

Up to Episode 10/11 now. It really gets going does Season 4. I'm completely hooked.

Started on S3 of Mr Robot and it's still as bonkers and enjoyable as the first two seasons.

edit: Homeland is the only other 'box set' thing I've watched.

Westworld is just incredible, that latest episode was just wonderful television. I really, really need to download season 1 and watch it all again as there’s just so much going on.

One thing though, the native Americans “painting” themselves white, was that an actual historical thing that happened as they used it in the brilliant Bone Tomahawk as well?
Cheers,

Mike.

S2 was weak IMO, but S3 was hugely improved.

I got 6 episodes into S1 of Westworld, but it just felt really flat. Does it get better? I never once felt engaged or motivated to watch the next. Is it a weak start, or is it just not for me?

Watched the first couple of episodes of cobra Kai the other day. Well worth looking up on YouTube red for anyone that enjoyed karate kid as a youth. 35 years on Daniel and Johnny resume their sparring with the premise flipped on its head. I won’t go any further, apart from to say Ralph Machhio and William Zabka reprise their roles.
