That doesn’t mean it’ll continue to run fineOrange Cola wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 10:51 pmJust thought I'd quote that...NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 10:16 pmIt runs fine. It definitely won’t be doing 8 mpg.
It’s about 240 miles, so I figure maybe £65 in fuel.

So how does it run and how many miles per gallon do you think it’ll do?
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
If it wasn't for melons like us takng a chance these cars would die. I flew to Newcastle to buy my 968 to find the photos were 3 years old, you just don't know until you collect it.
Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
Add 30% to that for when you boot it at every opportunity to wallow in the lazy torque and end up getting no more than 20mpg averageNotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 10:16 pmIt runs fine. It definitely won’t be doing 8 mpg.

If you do the maths, you’ll find I’ve already done that.Beany wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 11:45 pmAdd 30% to that for when you boot it at every opportunity to wallow in the lazy torque and end up getting no more than 20mpg averageNotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 10:16 pmIt runs fine. There’s nothing in the legislation about ‘essential journeys’ - you just can’t go out without a reasonable excuse, and collecting your car is a reason. It’s not like a sight-seeing trip to the beach. Not that I’ve seen a single police car on a couple of thousand miles of motorway trips in the last month.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:07 pmJoking side for a moment, someone driving their own transporter between 2 locations isn't likely to spread or contract anything assuming they're careful about distancing etc. whereas me going on several trains is.
The train would worry me more, except that I bet there’s nobody on trains. Can’t guarantee that of course.
Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
It’s very simple maths:
Train ticket+fuel+waiting for breakdown recovery+overnight stay in random village+Overpriced little garage+hours queuing in supermarket queue because the pubs are closed to get food+getting corona
OR
Cost of transport+damage to fix when the transport company drop the car loading and unloading

Well all the stuff I've seen on the news shows empty trains. Assuming Rev would get in to Euston he'd only have to walk across to St. Pancras to get on the Thameslink to Brighton (my usual commuter train). My guess you'd have a carriage to yourself the entire journey.

I should say "assuming Rev would arrive into Euston from his local train station".Jobbo wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 9:11 amAre you thinking he might die of Coronavirus before reaching London?duncs500 wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 8:39 amWell all the stuff I've seen on the news shows empty trains. Given that I’ve started with Corona-like symptoms yesterday, I won’t be going anywhere for a while. Not that I’ve been anywhere in the last 6 weeks so fuck knows where I’ve picked up whatever it is that I’ve got.

Have you been washing your grocery shopping? Don't forget it can sit on surfaces for a while.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 9:32 am Given that I’ve started with Corona-like symptoms yesterday, I won’t be going anywhere for a while. On the one hand, the spoiler and wheels are suitably OTT and it's a nice colour. Probably sounds good too with that exhaust.duncs500 wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 9:59 am https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds ... s/10397761

On the other hand it's £40k, pretending to be. a Turbo when it isn't, and has 124k on the clock.
Saying that, I've just clicked the link to see others for sale and £40k seems a bargain by comparison
