If you want a wired thermometer then get the Inkbird, it’s the only recommended one from the Weber BBQ folk.

Also, get a rotisserie, mine is amazing.

Just ordered from these guys. Fingers crossed it should be here before the weekend. Not much stock left, but interested to see what the product is like.

McSwede - super. Dinner tonight will be chicken that will have been marinating in the Buffalo for about 30hrs by the time it gets cooked. Already looking forward to it 😎

They look great. I'll try and order some next week.

Anyone got a generic rotisserie recommendation, I can't bring myself to spend the £180 Weber want and the reviews for it suggest that it's not that great a fit ?

Just had some boneless chicken thighs quick cooked on the BBQ. Some marinated in Holy Fuck and some in Buffalo wing. They're bloody awesome, especially the Holy Fuck. I will be ordering plenty more.

Fantastic flavour and lovely heat that comes through. I'll order some hotter next time too.

Thanks for the heads up Mik 👍👍

😎👍

Sorry for keeping this a little off-topic, but Mrs mik didn’t feel great tonight so the chicken has stayed in the fridge for a 54hr marinade instead 😁 and we had baked potatoes. Mrs mik had tuna mayo and me & the boys had chilli made by my youngest. He flung in Cayenne Pepper, Paprika, Chilli powder and Cumin. Tasted it. And flung in a tablespoon of HolyFuck too. It was awesome. 😋

All this hot sauce stuff reminds me I haven't made one in over 12mo. And I've got a load of chillis in the freezer that need using up...

Where do you get this Rib Man gear? Entire website seems to be sold out. :(

Correct. He sells out very quickly.

Follow him on twitter @theribman.

Get frustrated that his business twitter account is also his personal one.

Watch for tweets advising when sauce is going to be made available in the shop.

Set an alarm and move fast. Last weekend he noted that 250kg of meat (in 1kg packs) sold out in 6 minutes. Not happened to me, but you can have stuff in your basket and it can be sold out by the time you move to checkout.

Onlyfire and Sunshine are pretty good.

PS, the sauce is amazing. I used to visit Brick Lane on Sundays for a feed and some takeaway sauce, now it comes in mail order. Currently in Honolulu 8-)

That sounds like a lot of hassle! I'll give it a try though.

Restaurant charcoal - £20 for 12kg locally. Might be worth a go.

My actual bbq cost less than that!

Woohoo.

It's lovely weather here as well so I'm off to the butchers 😎

Zippy put a link to this start up guide years ago which is worth a look whilst it's on its way.

Not impressed that the charcoal I ordered on Monday is still sat at the warehouse - despite me phoning and them telling me it would be dispatched on Tuesday

Hopefully I have enough of the Weber briquettes to cook what we're planning on Friday, without having to resort to the emergency briquettes (which stink something awful)
