In summary, the more you limit your exposure the more you not only reduce the spread, but potentially also the severity.

Could you link the bits you've read please? I'm googling anyway.

No, you're misinterpreting. If you live with the people anyway you can go out in groups of more than 2. By limiting to 2 people it's effectively stopping more than 2 separates households from congregating.
