According to BBC Bahrain and Vietnam suspended
Re: No F1 thread?
Formula E have announced the championship will be suspended for two months, and will continue to review whether that will be extended. Sounds like a good clear approach. F1 are making a mess of it doing it on a race by race basis.
Re: No F1 thread?
I can see the whole championship being affected.

Re: No F1 thread?
Considering that the Japanese politicians who succeeded in getting The Olympics to Japan for 2020 are now saying there's a 70% chance it will be called off, I'd say this is a fair shout.

China is already gone, Bahrain won’t be a championship race because McLaren can’t make it. I don’t think we’ll see anything until Zandvoort in May at the earliest.

Surprising in some ways, the smaller teams are probably the ones that need to get their sponsor's names out there going round the track to stay afloat.Mito Man wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 11:46 pm Well it’s officially cancelled now, reading between the lines the FIA wanted it to continue but the majority of teams didn’t.
Re: No F1 thread?
Bahrain and Vietnam officially “post-poned”
Virus will peak in a few months won’t it? So I don’t think we’ll see much happen after that either.

I don't know what's going to happen with all the cancelled sport, it's going to be a right mess to sort out.

It's also going to make it even more dull if we're eventually all encouraged/told to stay at home!duncs500 wrote: Fri Mar 13, 2020 12:50 pm I don't know what's going to happen with all the cancelled sport, it's going to be a right mess to sort out.

Re: No F1 thread?
They have the e-sports championship, could be interesting to see actual f1 drivers competing in light of the situation
Re: No F1 thread?
I’ve seen Max and Lando on twitch but they admit they can’t compete with the pros as they can’t spend 12 hours a day on their computer. If you keep it to F1 drivers only you’d then just have a race between Max and Lando again as I doubt any of the others bother much with it

Postponed up to and including Monaco now.
Re: No F1 thread?
Teams trying to keep 2020 regs for next year too. Well that’s all teams apart from the usual troublesome Ferrari.

Your behind the times. FIA, F1 and all 10 teams have unanimously voted to push 2021 regs back to 2022.Mito Man wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 5:54 pm Teams trying to keep 2020 regs for next year too. Well that’s all teams apart from the usual troublesome Ferrari.

I’m actually happy about this as this years cars may be the fastest for a very long time and the footage at some races last year looked sped up so I look forward to another year I’d it.
