Reckon it will get driven? That level of value for a car is almost impossible for me to process.

but as a piece of history or even art, it is cheap when you compare it to some of the crazy prices people pay for famous paintings.JLv3.0 wrote: Tue Jun 05, 2018 10:27 am Reckon it will get driven? That level of value for a car is almost impossible for me to process.

Anything is worth exactly what someone will pay for it, I have no problem with that.
It's just a shame when something gets so valuable you're unable to use it for its core function. that's all.

A shame, but eventually it’ll have to be retired from thrashing around a track anyway - there’s surely only a finite number of years these old chassis/bodies/engines can actually take the fatigue of it?JLv3.0 wrote: Tue Jun 05, 2018 10:37 am Anything is worth exactly what someone will pay for it, I have no problem with that.

I was more on about it being driven at all rather than racing. I can't see anyone, no matter how rich, thinking it's a justifiable risk to take a 52m quid car racing.
