Yeah, what a disaster for me. Shonky POS Caterham.

I don't know where I'm going to start with it TBH, right now I don't even want to think about the thing.

Anyway, good to see you guys again, and thanks for the p-rides. Superbly driven all. 8-)

I thought the day was good, it all seemed pretty relaxed and there didn't seem to be any bellends about, so if my car ever works properly again I'd definitely like a repeat and would go Javelin again. You guys are probably bored of Bedford GT now but I reckon my car would be fun round there so I do want to have a crack at it at some point.

Special thank you to Steve for going out of his way to try and get me up and running, a true gent.

A shame about your car Duncs, but I'm sure it's fixable.

A good day out; my trackday duck has been broken.

Awesome day, but sorry for Duncs not being able to get out on track. Megane went well and I got it moving around a bit but nowhere near what it’s capable of. A bit of brake fade meant taking it easy when I had cars in front of me, but the last session (until rear brakes down to the metal stopped play) was my quickest and great fun following then leading YK. Two cars very similar on pace but very different.

Pics (v similar to Sundayjumper’s) to follow.

Need new (ie some) rear brakes.

Thanks all for the p-rides. Steve did really great - super smooth - and that car is sorted.

Jon, John the 4S chap did 2’52 with passenger (mixed traffic like our session), with a theoretical 2’47 taken from best sectors. So all things considered we did alright in our session.

It was certainly a memorable drive for me!

I didn’t rate Bedford much when I went there in my Corrado / Integra, but I really enjoy it in the 996 cos it’s a safe circuit so one could experiment and drive more expressively.

I'd be up for a return trip to Bedford. It seemed like a nice setup and there's no point in me trying to learn more than one circuit at a time !

On my fastest lap I did (allegedly) 2m58 so 11s behind a well driven 997 C4S on a notional clean lap, I feel happy with that.

That would be John’s car, the chap to whom I introduced you in the morning.

Err, yep, I knew that :)
I was also discussing the practicalities of a 911 with him, about fitting kids in the back.

Aside: I saw a cool construction document recently that confirmed the Evora is designed to fit a 99percentile adult male in the front seats, and a 5percentile adult female in the rear seats. :) (which appears to be a smidge over 6ft4 and 5ft respectively).

It's too much hassle, you won't bother, and always end up taking the wife's car instead.

Freeing up the 911 to be a track toy with buckets & cage etc.

Win 8-)
