Coronavirus
Re: Coronavirus
Your farts will probably kill them all!
Don’t know how true twitter is but reportedly half the deaths in France are under 50’s. In NL close to half the people in intensive care are also under 50. Many cases people with no underlying health conditions being killed by it now.
Fuck trying to get 60% of the country infected.

Re: Coronavirus
I think we all know how full of bullshit Twitter is.
If that were true, that’s a whole new level and we’d have heard about in the mainstream media?
Latest from Holland is....
The Dutch death toll in the current coronavirus outbreak doubled on Friday to 10, the RIVM public health institute said in its daily round-up. A further 190 people have tested positive for the virus, taking the total to 804. The total includes 179 healthcare workers, who are being tested more often, the RIVM said. All the patients who died were elderly and had underlying health issues. Some 115 are currently, or have been treated, in hospital.

Re: Coronavirus
Noticed a crap load of people taking countryside walks today, probably more busy than Folkestone town centre. Drove past a few pubs just now and the carpark s were pretty empty, usually they’re overflowing for Sunday roast.

Re: Coronavirus
Just dropped my daughter at the pub for her regular Sunday shift. It's normally heaving by midday but the car park was empty. Then went to the farm shop to get a leg of lamb and that was mobbed. People queuing up to buy takeaway burgers and coffee, served by sickly looking teenagers filled with minimum wage resentment who'd infect you with anything given half a chance, just for the lols

Re: Coronavirus
Popped into town last night at 7pm to pick up some food and it's normally a nightmare to find a space, was only about 1/3rd full. First time since it all started that I've noticed any real difference anywhere.
Cheers, Harry
Re: Coronavirus
some nice places to eat in BSE but we rarely go there because you can never bloody park! Now may be the time...

You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.
Re: Coronavirus
Off to do a roller disco in a minute, did one last night, it was pretty busy, expecting more of the same. Back to wfh for the day job tomorrow.evostick wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 12:46 pm Just dropped my daughter at the pub for her regular Sunday shift. Solid turnout, people making the most of freedom before we are trapped in our homes.

Re: Coronavirus
Scarborough was very quiet, went to North Riding Brew Pub which is normally rammed and there were 7 people in the public bar and the same in the tap room.
Morrisons was horrific, they had sold out of loads of stuff, luckily not pizza or Punk IPA so made no difference to my shop, but it was nuts, not even any trolleys left it was that busy!

Popped into Asda this aft, no chicken. At all. Beef and pork were ok though.
Is chicken the new toilet roll?

Re: Coronavirus
I’ve noticed weird items being stockpiled like fresh milk and the fresh veg area looking quite bare - are idiots just buying this stuff to freeze?!
I drove from Ashford to Folkestone, only about 10 other cars on that usually very busy stretch, no channel freight it seems but plenty of cars returning from mainland Europe on the other side. Enjoying the quiet roads though.

Re: Coronavirus
Popped into work this afternoon to catch up after my few days off, and it seems like we're gearing up for WFH across the board. I'll need to go in on Monday for the final IT sign off, and see what the deal is.
Dove in the local metro shop for lunch on the way home, still no bog rolls, soap, headache tablets, but plenty fruit and veg
You'd think we were shutting the entire country down the way people are reacting in shops, yet out on the town last night it was business as usual.
My merchant navy mate had a mail from his Co. reminding them that shipping is the backbone of most supply chains - ergo expect to be on short notice call for the forseeable.

Re: Coronavirus
Youngest came down with the lurg Friday, poo and puke everywhere. I've had it today and now the missus has just started feeling very rough. Not Corona, at least we don"t think. Proper wiped me out today though. Just hope we can all get over this one so we have a reasonable strength if we do get corona.
