900kgs and approx 230-250hp so same power to weight as a 997. Other than the negative of being LHD it looks stunning - and comparatively good value given the crazy prices of untinkered with 1970s 911s.

It (i) looks scruffy, (ii) would be shit to drive, (iii) is wearing Nankangs and (iv) the mismatched Fuchs/Minilites would make me quietly weep every time I looked at it.

The mismatched wheels are odd I must admit - wonder why they decided to do that? I guess maybe fuchs in the wider sizes are fearsomely expensive but a strange decision nonetheless.

I also take your point about it looking a bit scruffy in places (though I think it is priced accordingly) but why do you think it would be shit to drive necessarily?

Having been involved in the research, purchase and sale of several 911RS touring and lightweight (admittedly no STs) this is as authentic as some of the ‘originals’ that go for over £400k these days.

I don’t do much of it these days, other then the odd bit of research and physical inspection for old clients. Mainly Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati and 300SLs, but I’ve also accumulated quite a lot of odd info on 50s-60s Alfas also.

Old 911s (and 356) are frequently model mash ups, particularly when they had little value in the 70s and were being used in competition.
If a driver trashed is genuine RS but had a 2.4S as his road car, then the engine and gearbox naturally found its way into the 2.4. Years later an RS goes up in value and the body number of the 2.4 miraculously becomes an RS...
I’ll went to look at a car like this being sold by a Porsche main dealer.
Or a 356 Speedster with competition history that now had an engine that began life as a Porsche commercial water pump, but the engine number says otherwise...

That one is 10k cheaper too as its built on a G-series car rather than an original long bonnet though does have the 915 'box rather than the G50 (for better (looks) or worse (functionality)!).
