Formula E

Just watching this live on BBC 2, wow, they’ve certainly improved this, non stop overtakes. Really good to watch.

Do they still do the bullshit 'fanboost' bollocks and have to change cars half way through when they run out of battery?

Yep and no. I just saw the 6 minute highlights on YouTube which is more than enough. Big shock was actually seeing marbles on some sections of the “track.”
How about not having a sig at all?

Yes and no. The cars race for 45 minutes roughly, they sitll have the fan boost and a new system that all cars have to use twice per race that gives them a 35kw boost for 4 minutes. It's very telling that Porsche, Audi, Jaguar and Mercedes all have work teams. Toto Wolf was the today.

It’s like watching formula ford with the sound off.

I managed to sit through more than 10minutes so it's definitely improving. The guy in 2nd not managing his battery as well as the guy in 3rd and losing out on the run to the line was good to see. Marrakech track appear to be much less contrived to keep the speeds down as well.

Driver's eye view was actually excellent.

I’m just relieved to see someone else call it Marrakech, never heard of Marrakesh before

I don’t understand the power usage penalties, I thought it’s all computer controlled but the drivers can use too much somehow?

Where are the pictures, everything I've looked at says Gen 3 launches in 2022?
