I had one, as long as you didn't expect it to be a sports car it was actually pretty decent. Comfy, big boot, and based on reliable Cavalier underpinnings. And they really were pretty stylish at the time.

And that’s the problem, I wanted it to be a RWD sports car. I didn’t realise they did a 200bhp 4wd version until recently, that will be the one to have.

IIRC I read one summary that advised they would understeer and oversteer in the same corner.

Yeah, 4x4s were stupidly fragile, would chew the transfer box to bits if there was more than a mm or so difference in tread depths front to rear.

Easily fixed though. A chap at college had a 400ish hp one. Girly 4x4 replaced by much improved 2wd...... FWD

I quite like them but the interiors are horrible. E Class Merc platform and the same suspension as the Dodge Charger and Challenger. They handle pretty well with an Eibach/Bilstein kit on them and Hellcat replica rims. You can get a supercharger kit for the 5.7 Hemi, too, that gives just over 500bhp for about £6k. The problem is that prices are really variable. I saw one go for £2.5k on eBay last year but I’ve seen others advertised at £8k. But the interiors are really, really horrible. Whoever thought a tortoiseshell steering wheel was a good idea needs kicking in the cunt.

I saw a very nice Peugeot 508 Estate yesterday in very dark grey with the odd orangey bit here and there - not sure if it's a sporty version but it's a car I didn't know existed and I must say, I kinda liked it...

I really like the 508 SW and the current Volvo V60. Both great looking motors.

I'd avoided this thread because of A2s, then last week's Autocar had them in the Buy Them Before We Do bit as their main 'affordable mould breaker(s)' so I'll trust it not an early April Fool's gag.

Is anything really considered weird on here? Some things I might like because they're an unusual or non UK spec, that doesn't make them weird but does it me? Hmm.
