Would love to be on one of those flights right now

We were on a flight last year that ended up being on the Daily Mail site as an extreme weather landing. None of us on board noticedMito Man wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2020 1:00 pm Pilots earning their wages today

No, since the speed of sound varies depending on temperature, pressure etc.
Looking at the satellite weather images you’re just getting the trailing edge of what we had up here this morning. It was nice enough this afternoon for us to get out into the hot tub. Still a bit blowy (requote at will) but our garden was fairly sheltered. Lovely blue skies and warm out of the wind.Mito Man wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2020 6:10 pm Feels just as bad here by the channel crossing. Went out to feed the goats and the wind was so strong that my glasses were cutting into my nose which is a first!
I suspect a tree must have gone down at the beginning of the country lane as I haven’t seen any cars go past since 3pm.
River is about 200m away usually
I haven’t read the BBC article - I’m correcting you, and if you quoted something inaccurate without understanding it, more fool you.
