A2 has failed mot - both rear springs are broken
We've had a lot of rain and damp weather recently (and it had done hundreds of miles in atrocious weather after the incident in the previous post) but the breaks are clean. They probably went on the way down
Now, where did I put the spare pair?

Seems like springs are just a pretty frequent consumable with our shit roads. I just noticed how they had suddenly degraded over the course of the last week with huge craters despite it being the mildest winter that I can remember.
How about not having a sig at all?

Yep, I'm just surprised it's the rear not the fronts.
At least they're easy to change, just pop off the wheels and - arse, I haven't found the locking wheel nut tool yet. Naturally it'll surface as soon as I buy a new one, and of course there's another spanner in the works there in that my bank still hasn't send a new debit card  Hooray for cash.

I got Eibachs for my 5 Series at a good price from a supplier in Germany. Have a look on eBay.

I've got a pair of Eibachs for the front, they didn't work so well with the dampers I have (Monroe Reflex), it was fecking rigid with no droop (Mrs) :(
I can't find the rears either, at least not in the time I had, too much stuff  (I know I need to sell it, but that means dealing with people...).
Helpful chap at Audi id'd the locking wheel nut tool only for the computer to say no; it wouldn't let him order it because it said it was a Skoda only part :? TPS to the rescue 8-)

Will it cost more to sort than the difference in sale price between leaving it or having it fixed? I think I'd just not bother.

No.

The bodyshop probably wouldn't be able to get it any closer anyway.

This image is pretty close to an indication of it - the colour difference between rear quarter and the door. Would you sort that before a sale?
No. Did it put you off buying it? ;)

The fact you had EU flags on your private plates makes you look even more like a troll, Broccers 😂

I bought it blind on the back of a full inspection.....I didn't even notice it until someone pointed it out, now I can't stop noticing it. Just lets down what is otherwise a lovely car.

surely a full inspection should have brought up something like that? I know that the inspection someone had on my RX8 mentioned similar?

However, it is a very slightly different shade of blue. If you catch it in the right light, especially on photos, it does stand out quite a bit.

I would sort that before a sale as regardless of what actually caused it it screams that the car has been crashed. My local body guy would sort that no problem but that's why all the local main dealers use him and there's a queue for his services
