There's a mega-mileage Vantage on Autotrader for £24k at the moment. Should be a better bet than the C63.

It's the automotive equivalent of having a drab, mundane wife but still trying to tell yourself you have a chance with the hot receptionist as you lean over her desk, trying to get a glimpse down her top, exuding what you believe to be sexual confidence and charisma - although the scuffed, grey slip-ons, the battered briefcase and the faint scent of despair and failure tell a very different story.

"I've still got it", he says under his breath as he walks away but really he knows he's lying even to himself. Where did it all go wrong? When did he become forever stranded on the sidelines of life?

Perhaps if he bought her expensive gifts? Some Jimmy Choo shoes or Tiffany Jewellery - there’s a slim chance he may get to take her out (depending on how loose her morals are - hopefully very loose).... She realises the cash cow can’t last and moves onto the flashy twat in sales, Mr Drab is left back where he started but with no savings and an angry wife....

I can arrange for a nice pair of Regatta action sandles (size 9, some heavy staining) at an unreasonable price to be delivered.

Stretch the budget and the V60 is a good shout, not the T4 posted but the Polestar. These are bloody quick and rare too.

It seems that someone in Mercedes is listening to me. They've just released the C300 estate/saloon and also now have started doing non-AMG petrol e-classes. This throws my decision up in the air! Might have to save up for a C300 Estate

Funnily enough this whole thing started with a Mk5 Mondeo (seeing as our Mk4's are the best car on the planet) and seeing how they're pretty well specced whilst still being cheap.

Unfortunately the local Ford dealership network is absolute pony, the Mk5 is reputedly built worse than the Mk4 (because it was mostly designed in the states) and frankly, I just wanted something better.

The C is a lovely place to sit and I liked it on the test drive. /thread
