FAO Harry - Metro GTI radiator

Hi Harold, a mate at work has got a 1400K Metro, but can't find a new radiator anywhere. He's tried all the usual suspects. Any forums or used part specialists he should be trying? Thanks matey.

Sorry, I have no idea, and had absolutely no idea they would be hard to get hold of!

The only think which may be of use is that all the petrol engined cars use the same radiators, but only metro ones have the thread for the radiator switch. R100 fans were controlled by the ecu.

Diesel radiators are bigger and fit and using a second set of mounting holes and need a different left upper bracket.

I know Matt put an mgf radiator in his but had to get a bit creative with the mounts, pipework and bonnet catch.

The only forum I know of is metropower but it was pretty dead last time I went on there several years ago but might be a how to thread for the mgf radiator or something on there.

Cheers mate, I've passed this on. I'm going to try some AR online people on Twitter but I think actually getting the part itself I'm going to struggle with! MGF solution sounds good.
