Not so baggy boxster s sports edition nov 2007 car to be more precise

It'd be too much of a risk for me. I mean, I'd want a car like that inspected anyway, and any serious seller who's not hiding anything should be happy to oblige as long as your serious. Back when I was looking, before I got scared and ended up with the SLK55* instead, it was about £4k to sort, so not exactly pocket change.Broccers wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:04 pm Yes true but its a private sale and probs too much messing.
Even that’s only 2 bolts and 2 jubilee clips. Took me 10 mins on mine, and that included changing 2 of the idler pullies.GG. wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:21 pm Yep - less of a pain than on a 911 where you'd have to take the airbox out.
Lovely.Broccers wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:42 pm Ok I've bought it on the provision of bore scope test.

Is that a common issue? Do you know if it’s the same box as CLK 63 (C209)?Matty wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:22 pm It'd be too much of a risk for me. (*that didn't exactly work out, as I ended up paying £2500 to rebuild the gearbox instead)
I think so, yes. Mine was the 7g box, I believe the CLK63 was of the same era, as later cars across the Merc range got the improved "7g+" box, which includes the essential rev-matching.Coaster1 wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:53 pm Is that a common issue? At least 2 911s (mine and Kin’s GT3. Or was that before this year? My time blindness might be causing me an issue on that one).GG. wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2019 5:35 pmTop darts. At this rate we'll have more Porsches than BMWs on the forum. By my count that's 3 Boxsters (subject to borescope coming back clean...) and a 911 purchased this year!
