He was clearly inspired to do this by Dave the big bears adventure to the Arctic circle/North Cape in his Defender, or my trip there in the CSL 😉

Wonderful vid, and suitably bonkers thing to do in a rather old Rolls Royce.

I rarely buy magazines but just had a three hour flight delay in Gatwick so bought Octane. Great article and numerous brave pills must have been consumed.

Brilliant video. Endless Metcalfe enthusiasm showing through again!

I'm surprised he didn't seem to know the word 'odometer' though! :D

Anyway, looking forward to Pt2.

Vid was even better than I expected. Looking forward to part II.

Here's hoping Harry becomes a more regular contributor to Octane too.

The sheer brilliance of the vid matched only by the utter confusion of the ‘gag’

Wonderful film, one of the best he’s done.

Your gag, yeah? Would you be able to share your lolsome wisdom with us because no-one got it, at all, because you're not funny, in the slightest, ever?

Not on here apparently, not in your view anyway. High Octane. I did say sorry.

Part 2 up now, a little less road-trip-focused but some utterly spectacular scenery. Tremendous 8-)

Inspiring vids.

Has made me have silly thoughts of driving up there in my slightly decrepit Golf, when I've owned it 20 years, to see the Northern lights and visit Lofoten again.

That makes me want to take the Defender back but this time get into Russia.

It really is worth the final stretch to get to Nordkapp but that Rolls did brilliantly.

His videos just keep getting better.

Really is excellent stuff, so much better suited to just mucking about with older cars.

Amazing second video. Those photos by Justin of the car and the Northern Lights  8-) Particularly the second front 3-quarter view!

BTW, why isn't this in the 'cars' forum? ;)

Yes the photos were very impressive. Would be fun to see a behind the scenes as to how he shot them.

Slightly depressing there is no ferry to Oslo as I'd love to do this trip but the slog through the Benelux countries & Denmark makes it into double the proposition from a time and mileage perspective.
