Least it didnt break while there. Looked fun !!!!

NW200 last weekend was absolutely brilliant for those that dont get spammed by my posts elsewhere. Weather was perfect and only minor accident on race day meant it was over pretty quickly. Rea did a parade lap too.

Oh and nearly forgot - had to be at Belfast for the ferry back at 9.30am on Sunday - as it was my birthday weekend I'd consumed quite a few beers and a big chunk of 16 year old Bushmills on the Saturday. Just as you end a dual carriageway theres a line of coppers breathalising random cars and so they chose me. I hadn't really thought about the getting done the next day thing until that moment. :D :D :o

Apparently there are these levels - pass, youve a drink in your system, warning and then fail / banning. Getting told I needed to have something to eat was a nice present but it did make me think.

I really need to sort out my positioning on the bike. I don't feel like I'm that upright on the bike but the pics tell the story...

if you won’t lean the bike, just lean the photo!

Easy....

We do the same in mountain biking, a cool shot leaning the bike right over into a berm, then you notice a tree in the background at about 30 degrees from straight!

* I did crash that bike about 20 seconds later.

I'm exactly the same - feels like I'm in danger of needing earlobe sliders then the pictures show I'm barely hanging off. I also seem to only be able to "do" right-handers in terms of body position!

Seat edge in your crack, kiss the inside mirror - is what people tell me to do :)

The lean angle indicator is brilliant on the BMW, especially for someone numerically autistic like me. I don't think I've gone over 45 degrees in either direction - my mate with a near-identical bike, and looks like a pro on it, is normally 51-52 or so. Doesn't sound like much of a difference, does it!

The BMW's previous owner once hit 62 degrees lean on "my" bike, on slicks. Respect.

Oh - for the oil leak - do you watch 44Teeth? Budget Bike Battle? Fagan's Gixxer pissed out a pool of oil overnight, turned out to actually be a fuel leak that had then washed all the crap off the motor onto the floor. I doubt it's that but just to pass it on.

Yeah, someone pointed out the irony to me yesterday, given it was the Budget Bike Battle that inspired me to get a sheddy old Gixxer in the first place; first I spend the day bump starting it, then it pisses oil everywhere. I wish I could ride like Fagan, though.

Fk yeah me too, the boy can pedal! Chris isn't too shabby either but Fagan is a proper talent - as you'd expect from an ex-BSB'er, I guess.

On the leaning stuff, I heard “your mirrors are goal posts, your head is the football, and you should be aiming to miss the goal” 😂

Ridden in to work every day this week so far, can't do tomorrow as I'm having to use the train.

Was raining on my way home today - I didn't realise a rain drop directly to the eye at 40-45mph would hurt a little 😆

Keep your visor shut. A stone in the eye hurts a lot more.

True! It is down most of the time and there was no cars around at that point.

A bee in the eye will get your attention pretty quickly as well - don't need cars around for that either! Closed, or just open a tiny bit to the first notch. If it was open because of fogging - Pinlock FTW.

As a non-biker, I can still appreciate there are some good looking bikes out there. This is one 8-)
