The Weather Thread.
Re: The Weather Thread.
There’s fields of the stuff planted around Thanet, always smells like farts driving through the area when they’re close to harvest!
How about not having a sig at all?

No, but car is...
Even hotter today, expecting a storm later. Guess who just took a 6-person Surrey bike out for an hour!
Cheers,

First day of Autumn according to some people.
Did notice a lot of leaves on the ground yesterday in Hyde Park which I thought was too early!

Re: The Weather Thread.
Autumn eh? Awesome. Dubai is only 45C apparently, so that's good
Re: The Weather Thread.
IIrc meteorologists consider it the start of autumn, astronomers work to the solstices and equinoxes and use the times we're more familiar with (e.g. September 23rd for this year). Either way, today was pleasant enough
Re: The Weather Thread.
Full Moon this month is on Friday the 13th.
Re: The Weather Thread.
Most excellent sunset, unusual clouds, and moon here atm
Re: The Weather Thread.
We've had - and are still having - some rain today. The wetroads site could be updated to simply "all of them".
Full moon tonight; no chance of seeing it, I'm glad I got a clear peak at it last night (when it was also full).

The rain can really fuck off now, can’t remember the last time we had over a week on non stop rain...

Countryfile on Sunday said most of the uk had only had 1, maybe 2, depending on area, rain free days this month, and we've had rain at some point every day since
Cheers, Harry

Local news yesterday said that East Anglia has had 98% of the normal total expected rainfall in October, during the first 15 days of October...integrale_evo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 7:24 pm Countryfile on Sunday said most of the uk had only had 1, maybe 2, depending on area, rain free days this month, and we've had rain at some point every day since

It was lovely here today, but my lawns are nothing but mud now. They’re going to need returfing thanks to being completely waterlogged for a couple of weeks.

What you need is a nice thick carpet of moss growing over your lawn. It's like walking on a (slightly squelchy) cushion of airNotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 10:30 pmIt was lovely here today, but my lawns are nothing but mud now. Re: The Weather Thread.
It’s quite windy today.
Driving North I thought my Defender had 400 bhp. Returning South I actually thought it was in limp mode as I was topping out at just over 60 mph

My father's gone to Ross-on-Wye; good news was he left the windy warning area, bad news is he's entered a rain warning area
Mito, I wonder if sailing techniques would help when driving into a headwind?

Re: The Weather Thread.
Beautiful crisp sunny day today. Even took the bike out and enjoyed an hour to myself.
