Are you sure it's an Integrale ? It doesn't look like it has any flare to the arch but does have the twin pipes like the HF 4wd had.
I've mentioned him before but a good friend had dozens of Italian stuff by his early 20's and had a similar experience with going from a HF Martini Turbo to an 8v Integrale. It never felt any quicker and was always broke despite having thousands spent on it and this was early to mid 90s.
Probably 110 camera not the best definition
- they don’t ‘show’ that much from the rear straight on view- certainly not like the last of the line Integrales with the extra wide arches
I’ll try and find a better pic of it - I think I gave him a lot of the good pics of it
He nearly got a Martini HFT but missed out
What I remember about the HF was the really skinny tyres - even back then - for a 140bhp hatch. Thinner than a Mk2 RS2000
Your friend sounds similar to ours - he got talked into ( by the local Alfa Romeo owners club guy ) buying an Alfa 1300GT Junior with the twin carbed twin cam and supposedly enough poke to show our Escorts the way home.
It was a nice little car but he was gutted to find it couldn’t get away from a Mk1 1300GT Escort with a boggo Xflow in. He should have got the 2-litre really but I think he was set on proving the Italian twink was the match of an old Pinto
The HF Turbo was my fave though - more poke than the Strada Abarth too
