Apart from buying an outdoor cooker, rather than a BBQ, your money-saving logic is perfect Duncs. Are you part Northern?duncs500 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 2:37 pmI can live with a bit odd.
Isn't it better to buy it cheap, and even if it doesn't get used this side of Christmas, stick it in the garage ready for that first nice day. The alternative is to panic buy one for more money when the nice day appears... I dunno, maybe my logic is flawed.
Re: BBQs
Well, a few places showing 20% off at the moment.
Meh, not being a Munki, just though that someone (mainly unzippy TBH! ) may have some insight on the model/s I mentioned.
I didn't intend to debate anything other than the respective models... but you never know what's going to upset Rich.

Well I do have a fair bit of Scottish heritage which may expain it! If I had moved earlier in the summer I would have bought there and then, but it got delayed so I might as well procrastinate and overthink for a while now.Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 4:09 pmApart from buying an outdoor cooker, rather than a BBQ, your money-saving logic is perfect Duncs. Re: BBQs
They do, I bought mine for nearly half price because it was last years model and now some of the shape specific the accessories are up in the sale too because they no longer fit. They’ve changed the hinge on the new model, that was it.

Waiting a month saved me £300! Bit different to buying 7 months early though but I’d argue you could get use out of it over winter.

Re: BBQs
I LOVE an out of season bargain...
I’ve saved loads over the years, buying stuff at seeming odd times - tents at the end of the summer season, BBQ’s in Winter, even an Ice Axe and Crampons in a heatwave...
For the most part, the purchase sits in the garage or the wardrobe for months where it makes no difference. Then the first time you use it you remember how much you saved...
I mean, why spend more on anything than you need to - least that’s they way I look at it...
Edit - that’s a good looking Grill Jobbo - can be got for £700 odd

Re: BBQs
They’ve been as low as £520 previously, so I’m waiting until they’re somewhere closer to £500. Or getting a Spirit II.
Can’t really justify spending so much more on an outdoor grill than the oven and hob
